Follow these fundraising tips on how to choose and organize your profitable candle fundraiser.

1. Determine Goals - Evaluate the purpose of organizing a fundraiser. How much money do you want to make? Do you have a specific target item that you will be purchasing with the money from the fundraiser or are you saving it for a rainy day.

2. Select Products - Choose from the product catalog only the items that are most suitable to help your organization attain their goal. It is best to pick ONLY a couple of different items so that your customers do not feel overwhelmed when reviewing the product list. The jar candles have traditionally been our best selling item.

3. Set Price - The price should be competitive for the item being sold. The suggested retail price of our jar candle is $18.95. Most organizations set the price of the jar candle at $18 but you can go slightly higher depending on your candle fundraising goals.

4. Select Fragrances and/or Colors - There are over 100 scents to choose from so go through the list of available scents and colors. Our candles are richly scented so it is best to choose a variety of fragrances so your customers feel they have definite choices.

5. Narrow The List - Now that you have a preferred list go back through and eliminate until you land at 6 to 10 fragrances. Select fragrances that are most popular for the season and time of the year.

6. Sell Candles & Products - Set the time frame for at least 2-3 weeks. Sell the candles and collect money from customers at the time the order is placed. Let customers that they can expect to receive product in approximately 2-4 weeks.

7. Sort & Distribute - Products will be shipped directly to your organization so that sorting and distributing can take place immediately. Customers love to get product quickly and will often buy again if they had a good experience.
