About Soy Candles - The History, Benefits and Products

I didn’t have much knowledge about soy beyond my childhood experiences in central Illinois where soy bean fields reached as far as the eye could see and it offered great employment opportunities for teenagers in the summer. What did they do with all of that soy, anyway?

Wow! That really is a loaded question because it might surprise you to know that soy is used in many different products from milk to candles to socks to fuel. Really!

Soy is a legume that comes from soybean plants grown all over the world. Originating in the Orient (East Asia) over 5,000 years ago it was first harvested in North America in the 20th century.

Magical Soy Beans!

I often refer to soybean plant as “magical” because it grows in almost any climate, ranging from Brazil to Canada. Remember Jack and the Beanstalk and his “magic” beans? I mean he just tossed them out the window and the beanstalk appeared. Soy bean plants have that same magical quality because they grow almost anywhere.

A high protein product that can be converted into anything your heart desires offers a natural solution to many health and environmental problems that exist today.

You already know about soy in foods; such as, milk, flour, chocolate, cooking oil, pasta and more. Soy advocates claim huge health benefits can result from consuming soy. They claim help in the prevention cancer, osteoporosis, cholesterol and much more.

What about non-food items; like, candles, socks, floor tiles and biodiesel fuel. Each year scientists develop more and more uses for this natural, renewable magical bean.

The Soy Candle Wax Invention

In 1992 Michael Richards, no not the Seinfeld actor, invented an alternative to paraffin wax in his quest to find a cheaper and more natural product. He realized that the world was learning more about soy and there was a growing demand for more soy products.

In September of 2002, a home candle business founded on the principles of providing “an opportunity for a better life through unique, high-quality products , excellent compensation and business integrity” was born.

Our “Mad Scientist” Carmen Milazzo created a wax made from alternative ingredients like soy, palm, vegetables and other natural, renewable sources and since that time has been making premium products.

Our candles smell better than any other candle on the market and burn virtually soot free. Check out the other advantages to our products. It’s easy to build a business with a premium product that is affordable to the public.
